Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center currently has a Per Diem/Flex Receptionist position available. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays. Occasionally weekday (day/evening) shifts may be available.The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

• Answers telephone switchboard
• Screens and directs calls
• Provides communication services to all departments
• Processes guests and greets visitors and announces them to the proper department
• Performs clerical duties as assigned
• Scheduling
• Training new receptionist as needed

The following are the job requirements for the Per Diem/Flex Receptionistposition:

 High School graduate or equivalent.

• One or more years of experience as a Receptionist, switchboard operator, and customer service front desk position; preferable in a healthcare setting.
• Must possess knowledge of telecommunication systems and paging equipment.
• Must have positive interpersonal communication skills and have and utilize legible handwriting.
• Must have basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
